Found this restaurant because it was so close to our hotel. They had the best Branzino dish for 2. They cook the fish whole, then bring the cooked fish to your table and show you the fish and then they filet the fish and split it for 2. The fish melted in your mouth like butter. Served with vegetables that were very tasty and had a great sauce on it. It is a very large dish and more than enough for 2. This dish was so amazing, We went back a second time just to finish off a great vacation with an amazing dish. All the dishes we all tried were fantastic. The staff were very nice and fun when they had time to slow down, they even got into playing around with everyone at the table adding to the enjoyment of the evening. They have lots of space. Lots of room to accommodate everyone but best to have reservations on busy weekends. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone at anytime.

Atmosphere is wonderful and the service is great. Many locals there and only handful of tourists. So you know it's a better place to try. The clam and mussels appetizer is a must. It was so good and got so many especially for the price point. The bigoli with seafood was okay. There was a lot of fish bones in it and since it was baked some noodles were hard and burnt and others were delightful. So it was a mix. Wouldn't order it again as overall taste was okay.. nothing bad but nothing amazing Didn't order dessert but the menu wasn't impressive and ones on display didn't look like we were missing anything.

Primarily a fish restaurant (fish menu is expensive), it does have a small number of standard pasta and meat dishes (which are priced about the same as othervlocal places). I had linguini with pesto sauce, and it was quite good. The sauce was creamy and flavorful but was a bit salty. I also had the chicken cutlet, which was very good. It was quite a large cutlet, lightly bread and fried just right. It was served with French fries, which made for quite a large meal. The bread was uninspired.

I was looking for some seafood, and decided to come here for dinner. Food was great. I ordered the seafood plate with different kind of shell fish and fish crisp fried serving in a huge plate. The quality was great, freshly ocean taste which was not overly salted at all. Their pasta was yummy too, I truly think that Italian pasta is the best in the world. I honestly dont think that anything on their menu would be under par. The service here was so friendly, the waiter was attentive and always smiling. I felt welcome here and the family style atmosphere makes it casual enough to just chill with friend and enjoy a great time. I had been there twice during my stay in Venice. And most certainly I will return again in the future, and will try out other items on the menu.

The food was so so so yummy and we thought the prices were actually very reasonable. I am surprised it had a 3 euros and not just 2. Anyways, my husband and I shared a liter of the house Prosecco, delicious! And the clam and mussel appetizer. I then got the cutterfish and squid ink spaghetti (good but a little more adventurous than I will probably do again). He order the clam spaghetti. Everything was so yummy! The ambiance wasn't quite what I would call wonderful, it's a little cafeteria like with just a large open room and bright lighting. But don't let the deter you!

Came here accidentally mistaking it for Taverna San Trovaso and ended up having a pretty good dinner. I got the lobster pasta with the "whole" lobster - I quote it because it was a lobster tail, but it was very small. The sauce was very good and the fiance also thought his pesto pasta was not too shabby. This was our first dinner in Venice and where we were introduced to the idea that the tables all have bread sticks! There is an interior room as well as an outside area which becomes covered and doubles as an inside area. It's loud though because of the echo even though there were not too many people in that area with us. Service was ok. The waiter we had later on was very nice. The tiramisu was not bad. They have a cover charge.

Pretty good seafood, recommended by our local gondola man! He was so nice and funny, actually led us to the restaurant when we bumped into him again, venice can be a little tricky to navigate as you all know! Venice is an amazing place though, so unique and different than anything I've seen; how this city runs is fantastic. This is definitely away from the crowds. Anyways the service here was very good, the waiters were all helpful and helped up with recommendations on what we should get! Of course ordered a bottle of wine. I didn't like the bread here, wasn't fresh. Capesante al brandy (scallops in brandy) (4.5 stars)- The one I got was perfectly cooked and had great flavor, my cousin said hers was overcooked though & that can def kill a seafood dish. Turbot branzino for two (4 stars)- We thought we might be OK with them just bringing it out whole for us (head-on), but later decided maybe they ought to de-bone & filet it for us haha. Good idea- since we were all clueless on what to do & didn't want to get all messy. This can get cool really fast, and it was less than warm when we got it :( The fish was local and they recommended it to us, really fresh and I liked it. Tagliatelle lobster (4 stars)- This was good, def a fan of lobster and lobster sauce, I would recommend this dish for sure! My cousin loved this and she orders it overtime she sees it haha. Creme brûlée (3 stars)- Nothing special at all about this, came in a container. Overall good food and good experience with seafood in Venice, I couldn't say if it was the best seafood place in Venice though, I would have to come back and try a lot more places ;)
